The Finals. A sad ending and fate for a good player-Zidane. though i support Italy but Zidane is clearly a much respected and honorable captain. His one mistake, a moment of fury and everythin ended for him and his country. A head butt, a red card, no amount of tears and regrets will get him back to the field to help his team again. i felt my heart stop, the room became quiet.Italy supporters,French supports alike felt sad at this scene where Zidane walked away from his team mates, from his last chance in world cup, from the high hopes of his supporters, from the glory he hopes to get before retirement. French lost in the end-lost to fate and luck. Strangely, though i cheered and screamed and jumped for joy when Italy won, somehow, the expected excitement and euphorial is not there. In my heart, the scene where Zidane was sent off-his disappointed face and the French's shocked expressions was too much for me to bear, it overtook my happiness that Italy won. There was a dream, Long time ago, There was a dream, Destined to grow but Zidane's dream of winning the cup ended just a few mins before the whole world cup finals ended. He walked past the cup, walk past the glory he wanted. The irony of everythin. We were just commentin that Zidane didn't really get penalties cos he is a good player and yet he got a red card. Though the reason for his fury is unknown yet i feel that he does it for a good reason. A game where legends are born-Zidane, you will be the legend in me. Cheers all the way.
